Aspirational Aging
Just the other weekend I had a chance to interview my sister-in-law. A former world record holder in masters speedskating - short course. She took up the sport in her 40's and was soon skating circles around individuals half her age. Did I mention she is also a vetrinarian, raised 4 children. Uffdah. What's so inspiring is her journey back from knee replacement surgery. She could have opted for the couch - for the rest of her life, but instead chose to work at getting back on her bike, back in the garden and yes back on skates. She was inspired by a picture of a downhill skiier - and with that image alone, a ton of grit and ambition she pushed through. What inspires you to overcome obstacles? Join the conversation. I'd love to hear from you. BTW - click on the youtube logo on the right to access my interview with Kathy Hunt;)
