I love to cook a big pot of chili or my favorite plant-based lasagne recipe as I get a solid 2 - 3 days of meals from each. I also cook a lot of potatoes and sweet potatoes as needed and store them in the fridge. These usually last me a few days as well. Planning reduces the likelihood of resorting to fast food or unhealthy snacks when hunger strikes.

Ensure that you have plant-based snacks on hand, such as nuts, fruits, and veggie sticks. It's also essential to have plant-based alternatives in the kitchen, such as dairy-free milk or vegan butter. Also, make sure to supplement your diet with vitamin B12 and Vitamin D if you live in a northerly climate with minimal sun exposure in the winter months.


Common Myths Associated with Plant-Based Diets:


Myth: Plant-based diets lack sufficient protein. Protein is found in a variety of plant-based sources, including beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, and even some vegetables like broccoli.

Myth: Eating plant-based diets are expensive. It's actually cheaper to consume plant-based meals compared to animal protein sources.

Myth: Plant-based diets are bland. That is simply not true. There are infinite ways to flavor plant-based meals with herbs, spices, and condiments.
